Call for contributions - A Special Issue on Integrated Weed Management: Tools and Strategies in a World of Pesticide Restriction

Call for contributions for the Italian Journal of Agronomy Special Issue on Integrated Weed Management: Tools and Strategies in a World of Pesticide Restriction

This Special Issue will focus on sustainable tools and strategies for weed management in agro-ecosystems. The main objectives should consider the effect of innovative tools and strategies on weed control, with a specific attention to crop productivity and overall sustainability.

We welcome papers resulting from innovative research, reviews, meta-analyses and opinion pieces covering all related topics including:

  • Precision farming and weeds control (taking the focus on more agronomical trial than on mechanical ones);
  • Innovative cover crops and their management (permanent living crop, allelopathy, relay cropping);
  • Natural products from weed control (essential oils, natural acids….);
  • High competitive varieties and hybrids against weeds;
  • Integrated management practices to optimize herbicide usage;
  • Other unique and innovative ideas for weed management.
