Privileges of Membership
There are several categories of Membership.
Ordinary / Student / Senior Members are entitled to:
-  Receive online access to the Society's journal WEED RESEARCH free of charge.
-  Have access to a discount rate for orders of printed copies. Please find all necessary information HERE.
-  Attend at reduced charges Events and Symposia organised by the Society and to have priority where there is a restricted attendance.
-  Attend and vote at the General Assembly thereby participating in policy making for the Society and its activities.
-  Participate in the affairs of the Society and where appropriate to become member of the Board and other committees. Officers of the Society must be resident in Europe.
-  Elect the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and the Scientific Secretary.
- Receive the audited report of the Society's finances presented by the Board and approved by the General Assembly.
-  Submit proposals to the Board and/or the General Assembly.
-  Receive and comment on reports on the activities of the Society and its Committees.
-  Receive the Newsletter and other information relevant to the aims of the Society.
Honorary Members:
-  Are exempt from membership dues.
-  Have all the privileges of the Ordinary Members.
Sustaining Members
Sustaining Members must nominate a representative in the case of an organization. The Sustaining Member or its representative is entitled to:
-  Participate in the affairs of the Society.
-  Attend and vote at the General Assembly thereby participating in policy making for the Society and its activities.
-  Elect the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and the Scientific Secretary.
-  Elect National Representatives for their own country.
-  Receive the audited report of the Society's finances presented by the Board and approved by the General Assembly.
-  Submit proposals to the Board and/or the General Assembly.
-  Receive and comment on reports on the activities of the Society and its Committees.
-  Receive the Newsletter and other information relevant to the aims of the Society.
- Receive online access to the Society's journal WEED RESEARCH free of charge or at reduced rate as decided by the Board annually.

Affiliated Member Organizations are entitled to:
-  Nominate a representative to attend the General Assembly who shall not be eligible to vote.
-  Participate in the affairs of the Society.
-  Submit proposals to the Board and/or the General Assembly.
-  Receive and comment on reports on the activities of the Society and its Committees.
-  Receive the Newsletter and other information relevant to the aims of the Society.
