Activities

 

The WG is a general exchange forum on aspects related to “Weeds and Biodiversity”. Contributions in form of questions, discussion points, information on projects or deliverables are always welcome.Moreover the WG has scheduled “key aspects of activities” for the actual work at the WG workshop 2007:

• Questionnaire among EWRS-members to identify common ideas and overlapping questions in Europe.

• Seed predation: The link between weed seed availability (feed for vertebrates and invertebrates) and ecosystem services (self-regulation processes) is a objective of several experimental activities.

• Farming systems and arable weed diversity: analysing the bilateral relation between divers arable system (for weed control) and divers weed populations.

• Socio-economic aspects of diverse weed vegetations: who is interested in weed biodiversity and can divers weed communities contribute to farmers’ income? Membership of the Group is informal and everyone is welcome.
