The EWRS Working Group “Crop-Weed
Interactions” focuses on the interactions between crop and weed plants
occurring after emergence of weedy plants in a crop stand. Attention is
given to a fundamental understanding of processes governing crop-weed
interactions as well as the utilization of this knowledge for improved
weed management.
The main objectives of the working group are:
-
To bring fellow scientists
together to exchange information and promote discussion on the
working group topic
-
To track current trends in
ecological research and the management of weeds and creatively
develop new directions of research relevant to weed management in
general and crop-weed interactions in particular
-
To encourage collaborative
research programs
